Terms of Service

Last updated: May 12, 2026

1. Overview

CornerDock is a downloadable macOS utility that helps users save notes, links, tasks, and media to apps, websites, and projects.

2. Eligibility

Users must be able to legally enter into these terms.

3. License to use CornerDock

Users receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use CornerDock according to their plan.

4. Free plan

The free plan includes 3 contexts. A context is an app, website, or project with its own saved notes, links, tasks, and media.

5. Lifetime Pro

Lifetime Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited contexts and Pro features available at the time of purchase. License activation is limited to 2 devices unless otherwise stated.

Clarification: "lifetime" means the lifetime of the CornerDock product, not the lifetime of the user or indefinite support forever.

6. Payments and license keys

Payments, receipts, and license keys are handled by Polar. Users are responsible for entering a valid license key in CornerDock to activate Lifetime Pro.

7. Refunds

If you are unhappy with your purchase, contact support within 14 days and we will review refund requests fairly.

8. Local-first data

CornerDock stores user notes, links, tasks, and media locally on the user's Mac by default. Users are responsible for backing up their own data unless export/backup features are used.

9. Permissions

CornerDock may request macOS permissions such as Accessibility or browser-related permissions to provide app, website, or project-aware features. CornerDock does not record the user's screen.

10. Acceptable use

Users must not use CornerDock for illegal, harmful, abusive, or unauthorized activity.

11. Updates and changes

CornerDock may change, improve, or remove features over time. Future paid features, including possible AI or cloud features, may be priced separately.

12. No warranty

CornerDock is provided "as is" without warranties. It may contain bugs or errors, especially during early access.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CornerDock and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-data damages.

14. Termination

Access may be suspended or terminated if users violate the terms or misuse licenses.

15. Changes to these terms

The terms may be updated from time to time. The latest version will be posted on the website.
