TL;DR: Your data is yours.
All your data stays on your Mac. We don't track you, we don't share your data, and we don't sync to the cloud. Your notes are yours and yours alone.
What we store
CornerDock stores all your data locally on your Mac in a dedicated folder:
~/Library/Application Support/cornerdock/
- Your notes and their content
- Todo lists and their status
- Image attachments you add
- Application associations (which app each note belongs to)
- Your app preferences (theme, shortcuts, etc.)
What we don't do
- ✕Transmit your data anywhere
- ✕Track or analyze your behavior
- ✕Share data with third parties
- ✕Display advertisements
- ✕Sync to the cloud (unless you manually configure it yourself)
Permissions we need
Accessibility
To detect which app you're using so we can associate notes with the correct application. We only read the app name — never your files or content.
File System
Required strictly to save your notes, database, and attachments securely to your local disk.
Your data, your control
- Edit or delete your notes anytime within the app.
- Access your raw data at:
~/Library/Application Support/cornerdock/cornerdock.db - Delete absolutely everything by uninstalling the app and removing the data folder.
Important notes
- Your data is not backed up automatically — please make your own backups if needed.
- Your data only exists on this Mac — it doesn't sync across devices.
- Data is stored as plaintext SQLite (no encryption by default).
